There is a reason why the use of pesticides is strictly regulated, only permitted on certain areas and – beware – not actually necessary. A clever, environmentally friendly alternative to the chemical club is the purely mechanical removal of weeds with the weed remover AS 50 E-WeedHex.

The AS 50 E-WeedHex removes wild growth with its patented pendulum brush system where heavy equipment cannot be used. Mechanically remove weeds with battery drive – strong, quiet and comfortable

The lightweight and agile AS 30

E-WeedHex reliably removes weeds on uneven surfaces such as cobblestones, along walls and kerb stones, and in narrow areas. Thanks to a quiet rechargeable battery drive, this weed remover is ideal where noise is a concern such as residential areas, hospitals and daycare centers.

The ultra-strong AS-Motor Electric drives the weed brush. Two 56V 10Ah lithium-ion batteries enable an operating time of over 90 minutes, depending on the brush type and application. With the brushless battery motor, the AS 30 E-WeedHex operates significantly quieter, without exhaust fumes and with less vibration than weed removers with combustion engines. Thanks to the quick-change system the battery is easily changeable and without tools.

In terms of power, the AS 30 E-WeedHex even surpasses its sisters with combustion engines. The enormously high torque of the 3.200-watt motor at the brush ensures that even stubborn weeds don’t stand a chance. The reduced brush speed of only 600 revolutions per minute prevents stone throwing. In combination with the protective cloth, the risk of stone chipping as well as dust generation is significantly reduced. The individually height-adjustable wheels allow the brush to be tilted to the side. This enables weed removal even in crevices, joints or recesses.

The AS 30 is delivered without brush as standard. You can choose from three different brushes according to your area of application. The aggressive disc steel brush for the highest cutting force. The newly developed brush carrier, which can be equipped with up to 3, 4 or 6 pigtail brushes of the AS 30 WeedHex. With the quick change system the brushes can be changed easily and comfortably.

The knotted brushes of the brush carrier clear out depressions even better and offer high operating comfort through increased running smoothness. For sensitive substrates (e.g. clinker, natural stone, wooden floorboards, terracotta, etc.), a nylon brush with gentle cutting force is optionally available.

Noise barriers, railway embankments, rainwater retention basins, solar parks or wind farms often pose great challenges for landscape managers and service providers: the difficult to access, impassable and steep areas have to be maintained regularly. With its simply designed remote control and its enormous mowing performance, the AS 1000 Ovis RC is up to the task. With the RC flail mower, you work comfortably and intuitively from a safe distance. Thanks to the low overall height (69 cm) and the deep-seated Vanguard Professional engine with optimised oil supply, the flail mower achieves a perfect centre of gravity; the prerequisite for extreme slope suitability and mowing under deep obstacles. The moderate operating weight of 395 kg ensures maximum soil protection. The balanced weight distribution and the robust undercarriage enable safe mowing of steep slopes up to 55 degrees.

The AS 1000 Ovis RC offers a wide range of adjustment possibilities with its surfing mowing deck. Thanks to the large up and downward swing; the robust flail mower adapts perfectly to uneven ground and prevents damage to the turf. Optimal control via roller (including anti-scalp function); adjustable sliding frame or carried insert without contact to the ground for maximum traction in difficult terrain ; choose your personal setting for perfect adaption to all terrain conditions. The 100 cm wide flail mowing deck with stepless cutting height adjustment and the somewhat narrower undercarriage; also enable comfortable mowing close to the edge, down to a few centimetres along crash barriers or other obstacles.

The enormous power of the horizontal Vanguard Professional V-engine is optimally utilised. It is directly and efficiently transmitted to the mower deck via a belt drive. The proven Vanguard engine with 23 hp maximum power impresses with a 3-year warranty as well as its stable and robust construction. The components from the Yak series – e.g., the robust flail mower deck and the belt pressure spring tensioner – are used in the new AS 1000 Ovis RC.

Stable caterpillar tracks with steel inserts provide maximum traction on steep slopes. The assembly of the belts is quickly done thanks to the integrated quick tensioning system and defined adjustment for exact track tension. An automatic, mechanical parking brake brings additional safety when working on slopes. With its compact dimensions of 184 cm / 112 cm / 69 cm (only 159 cm long with the mower deck raised), the remote-controlled flail mower can be transported easily and quickly.

Maintenance-free shaft bearings, robust hydraulic motors from large-scale production and a large-volume fuel tank are the basis for long working days in difficult terrain and high grass. For daily cleaning tasks, the AS 1000 Ovis RC offers excellent accessibility. Air ducts, filters and oil control are accessible without any tools; and the mower deck can be easily placed in a service position. The world’s first ride-on mower with remote control, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC can be operated comfortably both from the driver seat and via a professional remote control unit with a high range. Equipped with a professional Briggs & Stratton Series 8 engine and hydrostatic transmission, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC is designed to perform on slopes.

It is recommended to operate the machine from the driver seat for high area performance and optimal operator comfort on flat terrain. Remote-controlled operation is recommended for increased operator safety on slopes and inclines up to 33 degrees. The operator is also shielded from exhaust, noise, vibration, dust, pollen, insects and scrub. The following functions of the machine can be operated by remote control: start and stop, to drive forward, backwards and stop, cutting height adjustment, blade clutch, differential lock, steering trim and reverse. When the machine is operated from the driver seat, the remote control functions as a dashboard. The control levers of the remote control are progressive: the more the control lever is pressed, the higher the speed or the steering angle. When the control levers are released, the parking brake automatically engages and the steering moves into the middle position. Only a short training phase is needed to control the machine safely and precisely.

With a highly stable tubular frame, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC performs even under harsh conditions. Operators up to 2 meters tall can operate the machine comfortably thanks to a length-adjustable seat and seat spring package. A low centre of gravity, folding bar and branch deflectors are added safety features, while lashing points integrated in the frame enable secure transport.

Like the other Sherpa models, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD RC’s cross-blade system delivers impressive mulching results in grass and dense growth. Bearing-supported blades cut the grass while a mulching blade positioned above them shreds the cuttings, which are then deposited between the wheels for added safety on slopes and wet grass. The mower deck’s surfing suspension yields upwards to obstacles, protecting the blades and turf from damage. Cutting heights can be adjusted to 5 levels from 80–135 cm via the remote control, whether in ride-on mode or operating from a distance.

The 2023 all-wheel drive models of the AS Motor 940 Sherpa family will appear in new splendour in the future. With new paintwork, an additional front panel and the newly designed decals, the Sherpa’s are even more attractive. But the 2023 model year of the AS 4WD Sherpa family also offers some technical innovations.

The new ATV tyres on the AS 940 Sherpa XL and the remote-controlled ride-on mower AS 940 Sherpa RC feature even better performance when driving across slopes and better climbing ability. In future, all AS Motor 4WD Sherpa models will be equipped with the AS tyre sealant Plattfuss-Stop as standard – downtimes due to flat tyres will be a thing of the past. The new fuel tank of the Sherpas offers more volume (17 litres), a larger tank opening, a fuel level indicator and a closed circuit with less fuel evaporation. The new locking mechanism of the foldable bar ensures easier handling and improved freedom of movement when operating the driving lever. In future, the protective cloth between the engine and the seat will no longer be elaborately riveted, but locked in place by robust magnets. Accessibility to the engine, for example when adjusting the valves or changing the oil, is significantly improved. This was an idea from AS-Motor users and dealers.
